Dog Appreciation Day

Haggen Logo 300x219 Dog Appreciation DayThis years Dog Appreciation Day will be bigger and better than ever,  with lost of fun for the kids and the dogs.  This dog event will be held at Haggen’s Food & Pharmacy in Oregon City, on  September 10th,  from 11-3.   Haggen’s started the dog friendly event,  Dog Appreciation Day several years ago,  as an event to help fund F.I.D.O., Friends Involved In Dog Outreach.

Dog Romp

Does your dog love to run and play with other dogs?  Do you love music, wine tasting,  barbeque,  or festivals?  Do you both enjoy helping dogs in need?  The Nature's Acres  3rd Annual Nature's Acres Dog Romp is a dog friendly event you won't want to miss.  Featuring a 3 acre off leash play area and treats for dogs. For the humans there will be wine tasting, food,  vendors, and lots of fun. 

When it comes to dog friendly events, no one knows what dogs like better than Nature's Acres Kennels.

The dog friendly event will benefit Clackamas County Dog Services, with a dog food drive to benefit AniMeals and the F.I.D.O. Dog Food Bank.

Love to bowl and love dogs? Don't like to bowl but love dogs? Well either way you will have a blast. You don’t have to be a good bowler, or even know how to bowl to help raise money for Canine Cancer research.

What:    As part of an international effort spearheaded by Pet Sitters International (PSI), the largest association for professional pet sitters, the Hungry Bowl™ Pet Food Drive serves to collect pet food for local shelters.  Proceeds from this donation will go to Humane Society for Southwest Washington.

Get out your holiday sweater, and leash, it's time for the Winter Wonderland Doggie Walk.  Last year more than 700 dogs enjoyed an evening stroll with their owners while seeing the lights of Jubitz Winter Wonderland.   On Monday, November 29th the event will be closed to vehicles as dogs and dog lovers stroll through the exhibit.

Nearly two million visitors have take the Winter Wonderland journey helping to contribute over $480,000 and over 35 tons of food to the Portland Police Department and Sunshine Division.
