What would you do if your dog were lost?  Flyers, posters, visit shelters, lost dog posts on line……

When Kyra a 25 lb sheltie was lost while being boarded at Crossroads Veterinary Clinic, in Sherwood, last September,  owners Dianna and Peter did all that and more.   With the help of their friend and Kyra’s breeder, Denese, they established a Face Book Group to  "Help Find Kyra",  and followed up every lead.

In November they got a break,  when Denese showed the flyer to a man in Tualatin,  he'd seen her,  just two weeks before.  The man had a sheltie himself, and was sure the dog he'd seen running loose near UPS was Kyra.

This was the best news Dianna and Peter had had in months,  Kyra was alive.  With Lost dog Kyrarenewed vigor they moved the search to Tualatin.   Putting up posters, knocking on doors,  and hearing of more siting's.  But still no Kyra…

In late December, early January the  reports began to change.  A tan and white Sheltie had been seen walking with a man around town.  The man is reported to be in his mid 40's, tall, slender with medium length brown hair.  However no one seems to know who the man is, or where to find him.

Dianna and Peter arranged for tracking dogs to search the area, near the Tualatin Max station,  while they did  pick up what appeared to be  Kyra's scent they were unable to locate her.  Based on this information Kyra's status has been changed from lost to stolen.  Her owners don't think the man is deliberately keeping their dog from them, but suspect that the man may not know how to help Kyra get home.  Dianna and Peter are very grateful to the man for taking care of her,  they just want Kyra home.  They are offering a $500 reward for information leading to her return, no questions asked.

It is suspected that Kyra and the mystery man may be traveling around Tualatin and Portland.   Please if you see a sheltie  that might be her, call the contact numbers below as soon as possible.
