here in polk county florida, if the dogs have food and water, and shelter( which only has to be a tree) thats all that is needed for complience of the law.they can be in a pen for all of their lives without freedom,and exercise and thats ok with polk county,or on a chain sleeping in the mud and thats ok…..that is what its like to be a slave, and that is so sad

I remember the rescue of Shepp and am heartbroken that this sweet innocent dog died and that he ever went through what he did. Thank you for taking him in and letting him know there are good people. Anyone who can, please help this organization. Thank you Tammy and Dogs Deserve Better.

It is totally ludicrious that the “owners” of Shep only got a fine. If our laws don’t become tougher to help these animals, then they will always die at the hands of morons. As for the guy from Corpus Christi, He deserves the moron medal of the month. The more he talked the stupider he got. Bravo to him. NOT. Thanks for all you are doing to help the chained dogs. May Sheps death not be in vain and may we learn from mistakes.

Probation and fines for the despicable Luna duo who left Shepp to starve to death on a chain that was embedded in his neck? OUTRAGEOUS! Corpus Christi lawmakers, shame on YOU!

The anti-cruelty laws in the U.S. are pathetic, as pathetic as the loud-mouth hillbilly with the four wives and more kids than we can count. Sickening!
