Back in November, I adopted a Shih Tzu who was abused by being screamed at, shaken, kicked, her tail was set on fire and she lived in a very tiny crate. It bothered me, and only reminded me of the dwindling of my own dogs life. I am passionate about animal rights, but the fact that a commerical containing Sarah McGloughlins “Arms of the Angel” and a screen flashed with images of crying Cats and Dogs missing eyes, mangled, in states of depression as they are caged really makes me uncomfortable and I feel that by forcing shocking images on television without any kind of warning (not to mention they ask for donations) is very unethical and sneaky.

I recently adopted a 9 month old deer hound, that was abused by her previous owner, and abandoned in the woods. She keeps her tail between her legs, but since I’m the one who feeds her and takes care of her she isn’t as afraid of me as she is of everyone else.
