Josephine Cetta stood in the rain, an umbrella in one hand a cup of coffee in the other, watching her dogs, Alley and Tucker play in the mud. "There has to be a better dog park" she sighed. Then when her girl Alley required surgery on her leg and low impact exercise for months a a result, Josephine had an idea. Build her own dog park!
Not just any Dog Park mind you, an indoor dog park, and not just any indoor dog park. Fido's Indoor Dog Park. 20,000 square feet of fun and adventure for dogs and their humans.
Image a temperature controlled, mud free field of grass, with bubbling fountains where the dogs can get a drink. Large windows to let in the light, and open up to let in the fresh air when the weather is nice. Plexiglas windows that won't break if hit by a tennis ball or wild Frisbee toss and an agility course to provide hours of doggie
fun. But, sometimes they need a break from the running. How about a quick dip in the 98% chemical free swimming pool or relaxing in the living room style rooms, for "time out's", where your pup can recover from a little too much stimulation. And let's not forget the free Wi-Fi and a coffee bar for you.
Like I said not just any dog park! Wait, don't head out the door yet! Fido's Indoor Dog Park won't open until August 28th. Want to know more? Well as always I've sniffed out all the information on this exciting new doggie hot spot.
Large dog park
The floor of the 13,000 foot main dog park is covered with K9 Grass, park benches, plants and "street lights" creating a true park like setting, for your dog to play and play. The mezzanine, which is open to dogs, overlooks the play area and agility course. It features tables and chairs where dog owners can sit and watch all the action below or bring their notebook and check their email with the free Wi-Fi, while sipping a latte.
Small Dog Park
If the action is too much in the main park, there is a smaller shy and timid dog park where the grass and benches are just as nice, the dogs are just smaller.
Pool
Right now Alley needs low impact exercise so the pool is a great place for her to hang out. Did you know that 15 minutes of swimming is like an hour of running for a dog, if you're looking for a way to expand your water loving dogs extra energy you have to check out this pool. The pool is 98% chemical free, but if you'd rather not drive home with a wet dog in the car, right off the canine locker room there is a self service dog wash area, where you can give your pup a quick wash and blow dry.
Time Out
If your dog is getting too stimulated by all this activity and fun. No need to leave, just visit one of the time out rooms. Sit back and relax in one of the comfy chairs while your dog enjoys a few minutes of quite time, then it's back to the park and all the fun.
Shopping
The retail area at Fido's will feature specialty items, toys and a selection of healthy food and treats. Water toys are sure to be one of the top sellers in this area.
Daycare and Boarding
Some of you aren't as lucky as my human Mom and don't get to spend all day with your dog, but your pup can still spend the day frolicking at Fido's Indoor Dog Park, while you are at work or away. And you can login and check the numerous web cams to see how the day is going for your pup.
Eco Friendly
The grass at Fido's Indoor Dog Park isn't the only Green thing in the park. They have made every effort in the construction of Fido's Indoor Dog Park to use Eco Friendly, and recycled materials when ever possible. And they use 'Green' cleaning products exclusively.
