Since it has been one year to the day since the death of the original Fido (Amanda), to start the lounge with a memorial to the dogs we lost in 2010. Tell us about your dog!
When we got Amanda she was 5 years old, she'd belonged to a great breeder that only breed twice then adopted them out as pets. She loved to go places and do things. We knew there was a problem, she had seizures and was on phobarb for them. Her last day, the vet couldn't stop the seizures, it was a brain tumor and even sedated she was still seizing. Amanda we love you and miss you.
Two days latter I got a call from a friend about a yorkie, that was underweight had had one c-section already, and unfit for breeding. A back yard breeder had her, and they were willing to give her up. I went over there, thinking this dog is too small. Well she was just under weight, and had a sprit that could be denied. The night we brought her home we told her she had big shoes to fill. She's lived up to it and more. while we still miss our Amanda, we love Delilah (the new Fido) . One door closed, another opened.
Tell us about dogs you've lost, or dogs that have helped you to heal.
