 Portland has lots of Dog Daycares so what makes Virginia Woof Dog Daycare so special?The daycare is exceptionally clean and very well run, but what makes Virginia Woof truly unique is the staff. A division of Outside-In, Virginia Woof is an employment training program for at risk youth. The first Virginia Woof Dog Daycare facility opened in 2005, at 16th and West Burnside. The program was so successful that a second location was opened in 2007, on Martin Luther King Blvd.
The Program
The youth, 18-24 years old, accepted into the program, must be registered with an employment resource center, complete an application, be interviewed, and MUST love dogs. The 10 week training program helps prepare the youth to join the workforce. ….read more…. |

We suffered a loss on September 10 2009 when our Golden Retriever Molly died of Hemangiosacoma Cancer; she was just six years old. It was an awful day.  Huck is a 3-year-old hound mix. He is a loving happy hound mix looking for an active home. He is wonderfully sweet and loves to get pets. He would do best in a home with some type of hound experience as he is very vocal and whines when bored. BCI Performing Canine Team- Border Collie International is a performing canine team of rescued border collies. Since 1994, BCI has uniquely educated and entertained kids of all ages, through demonstrations of; football, basketball, baseball, soccer and world class Frisbee tricks. How cool is that, I love to play Frisbee.
