Dog Food for F.I.D.O.

Friends Involved with Dog Outreach (F.I.D.O.)  would like to ask for your help.  Since 2009 F.I.D.O  has helped tothousands of families feed their pets, with their Dog Food Bank,  giving out 4,000 to 6,000 pounds of pet food each month.   The last few months the need for their help has increased, in December  the distributed over 8,000 pounds of  pet food.  The increased requests for help have drained F.I.D.O's resources to the point were they expect to be short of meeting January's requests by over 4,000 pounds of pet food.

"For families facing tough financial times, this food is what makes it possible for them to keep their pets at home and out of the shelters." Joni Taylor Executive Director of F.I.D.O.  "We depend on donations,  right now the demand is far exceeding the donations we have been receiving.  We are extremely low on dry dog food,  an getting very low on dry cat food."

We suffered a loss September 10 2009 when our Golden Retriever Molly died of Hemangiosacoma Cancer; she was just six years old. It was an awful day. The next day I started researching on the internet about this cancer she got. I was overwhelmed over the information I was finding out. Finding out one in three dog’s die of cancer is a lot.
