Henry’s Walk

Information about the upcoming Walk-a-thon -Henry's Walk May 22nd

Henry came to Oregon Dog Rescue from a hoarder’s property almost blind from cataracts.  He was extremely shy and introverted.  Oregon Dog Rescue could not allow a year old dog to go blind so elected to have the specialty eye surgery done.  Needless to say when it rains it pours so about the same time as their funds were depleted, a vet asked Oregon Dog Rescue to take on a 2 year old Chocolate Lab who had an impact in his intestines and the owner could not pay for the surgery so was electing to put the dog down.  Of course we agreed even though we had no clue where the additional funds would appear from.  Out of this situation, Henry’s Walk and Fundraiser arose and has become an annual event to raise money for an emergency medical fund.

This year Henry himself is coming to lead and participate in the Walk!

Looking for transport

Oregon Dog Rescue is in desperate need of transport, for a corgi mix,  from Olympia Washington to Portland.  Pick up will need to be about 3:30 on Saturday, November 6.

The dog is one of several that is being surrendered by a hoarder.  ODR can only take this one dog then they are full.  A rescue in Canada is taking a couple,  they are still looking for rescues to take the others.
