New Online Catalog Lets Party-goers Preview Auction Items 

(Salem, OR) —  Ghosts, ghouls and other funny and frightful creatures will descend on Salem for Willamette Humane Society’s signature event, Bowser’s Boo Bash. This year’s dinner and auction, presented by Capitol Subaru, will be held Saturday, October 29, beginning at 5 p.m. at the Salem Conference Center.

Guests will enjoy a three-course meal, wine, beer, live musical entertainment, and the opportunity to bid on unique items during both the silent and live auctions. Willamette Humane Society Seeks Nominations for Humaneitarian Award

(Salem, OR) — Willamette Humane Society is now accepting nominations for its annual Humaneitarian Award. The Humaneitarian Award recognizes a person or group who exemplifies Willamette Humane’s mission to promote the welfare of animals through leadership, education, and action. The award allows WHS to highlight and reinforce the contributions that individuals make for the betterment of our community through their work with, or on behalf of, companion animals. All nominees will be recognized at a special awards reception on Wednesday, May 18. The winner will also receive a hand cast bronze sculpture by artist Calvin Stinger. The deadline to submit nominations is Friday, April 29, 2011. Car Wash Fundraiser

National Fast Food Restaurant Chain promotes fundraising to help Greenhill Humane Society

 Jack in the Box fast food restaurant has just announced plans for all five Springfield and Eugene restaurants to hold a day long carwash on Saturday August 7, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The restaurants are located at W6th, Commerce Street and Hutton Street in Eugene, Main and Pioneer Parkway in Springfield. Cost for the car wash is on a donation basis. Read the rest of this entry

OHS Pet Flix Contest: Opens July 15

Portland’s first film contest featuring pets! Individuals or groups can create and submit a short film, music video, documentary or other creative film with pets or pets and humans as the stars.
