Hey…Tommy here to tell everybody I’m much better now….and my Mom entered me in an “MVP” best pet picture contest. I’m not sure what all that means, but I know she said it was sponsored by Bissell … and they’re the folks who make the stuff she uses to clean up after all of us…not me, just the cats, right? Anyway, you can vote for me pretty soon, at Read the rest of this entry

Hey guys! It’s me, Tommy! I went to see Dr. Taylor at the vet’s office Wednesday and she
said I’m doing pretty good. She said there’s some bumps on my eye (yuk) where the stitches
are healing so I have to get the icky drops 3 times a day still. Not too bad, I guess. She said
some dogs don’t get the bumps but some eyes are more sensitive, so they get them. I don’t like the
drops, but I guess it’s OK to get 3 instead of 2 for another couple of weeks. Read the rest of this entry

I am feeling much better now that I can see so much more! My family took
me to see Dr. Taylor on Friday and she said I was doing just fine and that my eye is healing just
as she expected…that’s real good news! Read the rest of this entry

Hey! Nobody told me I couldn’t do anything. I can’t jump, I can’t chase, I can’t go to the dog park – even though the sun’s out! – and I can’t go to PetSmart for Doggie DayCamp or to see my friend Crystal to get cleaned up. I can’t even play with the cats. It’s not fair.

A note from Mom:
Tommy had his surgery on Thursday….all paid for by all of you, Tommy’s best friends…and ours. It went very well. Dr. Michelle Taylor said that it all “proceeded as we anticipated.” The only minor complication is a small abrasion on his eye caused by the dryness during the operation. He’s getting all his medications – two kinds of eye drops, one for the operation and the other for the abrasion (which should be gone by his next checkup on Monday.) He really hates his Elizabethan collar…but so far he’s learning to cope with it better than we are. He’s getting oral antibiotics as well, and a doggie tranquilizer for when he gets frustrated. Sadly, he can’t have any of his toys or chewies, but he’s enjoying his regular dog food and drinking lots of water. He’s sleeping with his Dad…his favorite thing…and snoozing most of the day. One of us is with him all the time.
Many, many thanks to all of you!
Jean
My human Dad, Paul, is much better since I’m home with him. (I told him that new medicine was scary.) His doctor told him he doesn’t have to take it anymore. I’m glad ’cause he was real sick from it. He took more pills and stuff than me last night, but I’m helping him get better. I stay on his lap and right next to him on the big bed. My Mom put my blankie up there for me. I gotta go now, it’s time for more eye stuff. I don’t like it ’cause it’s gooey…but Mom says I have to have it. Oh well.
Thanks a whole lot everybody! I can see better already!
Love & hugs, Tommy

Tommy went to Northwest Veterinary Specialists early this morning for his surgery. He was extremely nervous, probably due to the giant Newffie that was there to have surgery too. His surgery was performed by Dr. Michelle Taylor, DVM, Diplomate, ACVO. Read the rest of this entry

Thank you to everyone that attended my fund raiser today. It was a wonderful event. With great food and the best of friends. I’d like to offer very special thanks to Diane of Diane’s Priority Pet Care, Handy Man Bob, and my good friend Janee. Of course we couldn’t have done any of it with out Johnny of E.A.T at Johnny’s . I’d like to thank all of you that have donated to my surgery. If you could do me one more favor, if you could please forward my story to your friends. I’m really getting nervous, we haven’t raised enough money and it is getting so hard to see.
I can hardly see Paul and Jean anymore, that makes it really difficult to keep track of them and be sure they are okay. I know Paul is very worried about me, and that not good for him.
If you could send my story to 10 friends, and each of them donated just $1 and sent it to 10 friends, maybe we could get enough.
Thanks so much for your help.

Hi Everyone my name is Thomas J. Dogg, but everyon calls me Tommy. I’m a 3 year old Lhasa Apso, a very regal breed of dog, even if I do say so myself. I’m a very good dog, I’ve even earned my AKC Canine Good Citizen Award.
I spend a lot of time taking care of my humans, they both need a lot of special love due to their health problems. Some days Paul’s Leukemia treatments make him so tired he needs me there to watch out for him. Jean needs me with her too, she has MS and after her treatments she has to have lots of special love.
It has been getting really hard to help them because I just can’t see very good. They say if I can get this surgery I’ll be able to see really good again. Then I can take really good care of my people.
My people are really nice and very important to me. I love them very much and I really want to be able to give them the special love they need everyday. If you can help me get my surgery I’d be so grateful.
Thank you.
Tommy
