booth swwhs A great successThank you to everyone that attended the Northwest Pet and Companion Fair.  It was a great success and so much fun.   Thousands of people, and pets visited the fair Saturday and Sunday.  A special thank you to all the pets that visited the fair and brought cans of food for the AniMeals program.

It was so nice to meet so many of our friend from the website,  we even got a chance to meet some of the photo contest winners.   We had some great helpers with the booth that we’d like to thank too.  All Seasons Greens, provided us with a wonderful synthetic grass carpet, great for dogs!   dog in a stroller A great successCustom Dog Portraits by Diane Doherty, supplied a custom portrait to our lucky drawing winner.  Integrity One Spa Moving helped us with move out.  And a very special thank you to those that helped out in the booth the humans,  Janee,  Katie and Kaine and the Bailey (the BullDog) and Duke (the Rottweiler).

The NW Airdogs were a big attraction,  with lots of dogs enjoying a swim in the pool.  The herding exhibit was great fun,  I watched a Chihuahua give it a try,  I think he might have been a little intimidated by the sheep,  but he got into the sprit of the game and got the job done.  As always the fashion show was amazing.  Many of the adoptable dogs took advantage of the opportunity to show off in the great outfits from Unleashed PetWear and Wild Child Pet Fashions.  A couple of cats and a ferret even joined in the fun.   Lady and I got into the act as “guest models” on Saturday and course Lady had to try out the agility course.

fashion show crowd A great successMany pets found forever homes, and that is what it was all about!   I didn’t get a chance to talk with everyone after the show,  but I did learn that Southwest Washington Humane Society left last night with only three of the animals they brought to the show and all of the cats and dogs in the article on Oregon Humane Society Pets, at Fido’s Friends, have new homes.  Rat Bone Rescue and Cascade Bulldog,  both had a great show.  My friend Ruckus says that Bulldogs can’t help having a good show,  they just naturally attract attention.     Congratulations to everyone that found their forever home this weekend, and a Yip Yip Hurray to the humans who went home with a new best friend.

We  hope everyone had as much fun as Lady and I did,  we will see you all again next year.
