When I was laid off earlier this year, my husband, an internet consultant, and I came up with the idea for Fido’s as a way for me to stay busy while looking for a job. It seemed the perfect idea since we had a Yorkie that went almost everywhere with us. A month later we found a little lost dog hiding under a car in front of our house. When her owner could not be found, we decided Lady should stay with us, even though others offered to take her.

Lady was a taste of what was to come. We had no idea how quickly Fido’s would become so popular. Fido’s was barely live when we began to get requests to be added to the directory. The event calendar and Dog Parks directory was pulling in the visitors faster than we had every dreamed. The newest additions to Fido’s, the blog and forums were added at the urging of friends that wanted  a local social network for dog owners.

We have lots of plans for Fido’s, our next goal is to expand Fido’s to include even more cities. If you have something you’d like to see added to Fido’s or if you would like to be added to the directory, drop us a line at info@FidosCityGuide.com
