The first canine case of H1N1 has been confirmed in the United States.  A 13 year old mixed breed dog in New York has tested positive for the virus.  The dog was taken to the vet and test for Dog Flu and Swine Flu.  The results were negative for Dog Flu but positive for Swine Flu.   His owner was currently being treated for Swine Flu and it is believed that the dog caught the flu from it’s owner.   X-rays showed the dog was also suffering from pneumonia.
